Pink Unsweet

The rose you know, with the sugar taken out.

Pink Unsweet starts where a very popular rose starts: lychee and rhubarb, bright and a little sour, over a big soft rose. Then it goes somewhere else. Where that rose turns to jam by the second hour, this one turns to hibiscus tea. Tart, cool, slightly dry. Vetiver holds the end so it finishes clean instead of sticky.

What it smells like, roughly by the hour

First ten minutes. Lychee and rhubarb. Pink, juicy, sharp at the edges.

The first hour. Rose comes forward, full and petal-heavy. This is the part you will recognise.

After that. The hibiscus tea takes over. Think of iced tea with no sugar and a squeeze of something red. Vetiver and a little soft wood underneath.

It is lighter than the fragrance it is based on. That is on purpose: it is made to be worn close and reapplied, not to fill a room. If you want projection, this is not that.

Wear it

Two sprays on the neck, one on a wrist. Lovely on linen and cotton, where the tea note lasts longer than on skin. Good from spring to the first cold week of autumn, and all year in Texas.
